Can anyone help me out?

Hey guys I have a project due on Wednesday for class. I am giving a presentation on Ohio State Football History... I just need to do a powerpoint and pack it with a lot of information. I'm having trouble finding good info sites. The powerpoint/speech needs to be around 5-7 minutes so I need to get creative as well. If any of you know of good info sites on the history... or even have old papers that you wrote on the subject would you please let me know. If you have a paper i can borrow i would definately change it up and would only pull bits of info from it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ohiostatebuckeyes.com isn't a bad place to start.

You can spend five minutes just discussing national titles.

But with 6 Heisman trophies and God knows how many All Americans, You should have to shave time to stay in the allotment.

Only problem is that I don't want to just ramble off names and numbers for 7 minutes. Even though I find all of that interesting and I think everyone else should, I have to make sure to keep people's attentions.
Then it might be better if you do a presentation on the history of Ohio State athletics, not just football.

Then you could talk about guys like Jesse Owens, Jerry Lucas, Jack Nicklaus, etc.

Well, first I'd start off real quick with the mention of the things most college fans around the country already know: The Game, TBDBITL, Script Ohio, and The Shoe. Then I'd just start hitting each major era and list a few quick facts from each one, such as:

  • The school colors were originally orange and black, but were changed because those were already used by Princeton.
  • We played our first game on May 3rd, 1890, defeating Ohio Wesleyan 20-14.
  • We joined the Ohio Athletic Conference in 1902 and remained in it until 1921.
  • We joined the Big Ten (then the Western Conference) in 1913, so in fact we were in two conferences for nine seasons.
  • We first played Michigan in 1897, and played them every year from 1900-1912.
  • After a five-season break from 1913-1917, we've played Michigan every year since 1918 and have played them in our final regular season game since 1935.
  • Ohio Stadium was completed in 1922 in response to a huge increase in fan interest caused mainly by the play of Chic Harley when he played 1916-1919.
  • Ohio State is the only team to have ever shut out Michigan four straight seasons (1934-1937).
  • Ohio State has eight undefeated seasons, including five with no ties, and seven school-recognized national titles.
  • We have six Heisman Trophies (more than any other Big Ten team).
  • We have 30 Big Ten titles (2nd to Michigan).
  • Woody Hayes coached from 1951-1978, winning five school-recognized national titles, personafying Ohio State football.
  • Ohio Stadium has been renovated several times, with the last expanding capacity to 105,500 (the track is no longer there).

You could also divide the presentation into three sections: team history, coach history, and stadium history. There's all kinds of way to approach it.

Then how do you explain the fact that they regularly fit 105,000+ people into the Shoe, smart guy?

I think TG05 deserves a pass on this one, since he did list the 'official seating capacity'. I knew the official capacity was well less than what Mili originally posted, but didn't bother to say anything since the stadium has actually held the larger number.
