Hey I'm trying to track down a nicer zoom lens for this weekend and would like some help...

Does anyone know of a good place to rent a camera lens in Columbus?

I am gonna be taking shots of the football camp, and possibly of basketball as well as the north/south game.

I need a camera that zooms up to 200m and has an f-stop of 2.8 or lower. Thanks...

I don't have anything that big.. but...

Call Cord Camera... if they don't do it...they'll know who does...

One more edit...

Call this location: (Its sort of the Columbus "Big Store" - thus most likely to have what you need-and its pretty close to where you are going if they do)

Do you have anything smaller with a 2.8 fstop? My two lenses only go down to 3.5 and 4... so I'll struggle to stop full action shots unless the lighting is perfect.

I will use both... I just want to make sure I have something with a 2.8 lens in case the 3.5-4 minimum is not enough to stop action. I decided to buy a sigma zoom 2.8 lens from Ritz camera as they have a no questions asked return policy. I think I might really like the lens, and if not they'll take it back.

I'll still stop by and pick up the lens from you S&G. Thanks for your help.

Well-- good to have your bases covered... I've taken some live action motorcycle racing shots with the 3.5... and they turned out surprisingly nice if you are in the right postion for the shot (kind of getting them hittting a corner)... anyway.. good luck. (does not work that well on say an F-18 :wink2: )

LOL....My dad bought the lens for when we went to the INDY 500, It will stop a Indy car a full speed dead in it's tracks.
