Sitting around in my underwear....
sears3820 is coming to Boston this weekend. Red Sox game on Friday, Harpoon Octoberfest on Saturday.

I need some help though. Where's the spot to go to catch the Buckeye game?

Coincidentally, I will be in Boston this weekend as well. Didn't know about the Harpoon Octoberfest . . . .

Hmmm... I'll have to talk to my buddy about this. We're definitely in for the game either way, though. Mind having a few bears with guys from Valley View, sears? I know we farm kids ain't as sophisticated as you Oakwood boys, but maybe we can enjoy a cold one together over the Buckeyes.

[EDIT: Sears--Am I going nuts, or did your location not JUST say you were from Oakwood?]

I think you have the wrong Oakwood. The Oakwood I'm from is about as rural as it gets.

Make sure you pre buy your Harpoonfest tickets and get there early. I went to meet my friend for the spring fest and the line was probably a half mile long.... no joke.

And as for me, I just departed Boston last week and am in the process of moving to Cali... or I would've met up with ya.

If you go to Game On, the Buckeyes are downstairs. Don't drive there...take the greenline and get off at Kenmore, go towards "Fenway" take a left out of the T station and then follow the crowd to a left on the first street. Game On will be on the left side.

I've gone during Red Sox games and it's just a bit more crowded, but if you get there by say 6:00pm you could put your name down for a table or find a bar spot. It will start mildly emptying out right before game time.... and then slowly fill up again during the night.

Yeah, I heard that about the line. I signed up for my Friend of Harpoon card and just got it in the mail. I guess cardholders get to bypass all the lines.

Thanks for info star. Too bad you're not there anymore. I would have bought you a beer.

I just received the alumni game watch email:

Buckeyes vs Indiana @ 7:00 pm at The Greatest Bar

The Greatest Bar is located across the street from the Banknorth Garden (where Celtics play) and North Station at 262 Friend St. and will be offering several specials during the game. The Greatest Bar is the regular location for several other Big Ten schools and has audio/video capabilities similar to GameOn. Additionally, we ask that everyone have some patience in regard to space when arriving at The Greatest Bar as the Penn State and Illinois clubs will be heading out as we come in.

NOTE: Please note that we will be back at GameOn! for the remainder of the season and have already checked the Red Sox potential playoff schedule.
