For me it's been the double PF. The Cal player pushed and got pushed back. No problem with the double. The PF before the missed FG was a good call. Play was over Cal lineman went after a guy standing around the pile and knocked his helmet off. I don't see a problem with either of those calls. Spiels did.

Decent 1st half...

Defense needs to stop giving up the big plays.
Getting good pressure on the D Line
WR's need to catch balls
STOP TAKING STUPID PENALTIES
Need to get J Hall the ball more

I agree with this. Both were correct calls by the refs but Spielman harped about them being bad calls. Heck, I am not sure the hold was a bad call. If a player is tying to pull away backwards and you hold onto his jersey, it's a hold even if your hands are inside. If the ref sees a jersey being pulled no matter where your hands are, it's a hold.

I'd like to see Ohio State come out in the second half and establish a running game, using the pass to keep them from loading the box. There was some really good play calling in the 1st Q. 2nd Q, not so much.

Buckeyes will have learned a lesson about allowing another team to use the refs to take away your momentum. Good halftime chat on right now! :tongue2:

also talked about how its a big ten ref crew? Kind of hinted that we were getting favorable calls.

We really could've put them away for good in that 2nd quarter, too bad we didn't take advantage of our defense doing a good job.

3 drops from the WR (one that would've been a first down) also is not helping. If we can square that away and get the ground game going this game could be on the ropes after our first possession. That is as long as our defense gets a stop on the opening drive.

Defense I thought played great. One thing of note once Grant missed that tackle on that 20+ yard run by their back we haven't seen grant since. It's been all Storm Klien and to be honest I thought Storm played extremely well in his spot.

Do you guys think it's too much Nate though? Last time we played him like this he didn't play the next week. I'd rather have him every game instead of every other or even every 3 games.

Seems to be less rotation up front this game than the past 2.
