2026 CA WR Chris Henry Jr. Is a Buckeye!!!

Well, have to think he saw a pretty good show Saturday. Full house for Akron, plenty of noise, tOSU band, and a very positive showing from our freshman WR. (Just think, that could be YOU next year).....Day not afraid to play his freshmen, only thing he didn't see was the QB of the future, Sayin, or ? (TSC). Would have been nice to see Sayin get some throws in. Anyway, being exposed to sunny California, and now having Oregon sniffing around, has to be exciting to a 17 year old, so hopefully his coterie of ex-NFL minders will keep him on his path. Do I recall that Oregon has invited him up to see their bout with tOSU? Would bet he goes, and will compare their 35k (?) versus our 104k stadium. Oh well, as has been said many, many times - the twists and turns of recruiting ('crootin) are sometimes hard to follow. Go Bucks!

And not for the first time (but different players). Look at the names of the recruits, as well as Oregon's top recruits of all time, and both lists are littered with players that tOSU coveted. Oregon employing the Steinbrenner method, pay for the best, and it's working too well. Plus, there's alot to be said for the Oregon countryside, let alone their cheerleaders (imho have overtaken USC song girls...). Not entirely certain Oregon's academics are in a league with tOSU, USC, etc. but most of these players not there to 'play school'. Will be watching to see how many portal out in next one or two years. Go Bucks!

Oregon has very good academics but I wouldn't say on par with OSU. As you said though, I don't think that factors in a ton on top recruits. This seems to a be a very real battle for the next cycle though.
