MATER DEI
SANTA ANA, CA
6.1
The 2026 five-star receiver from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei remains happily committed to Ohio State, has a phenomenal relationship with position coach Brian Hartline and loves the receiver history in Columbus, but others are trying very hard to flip him.
LSU is talking about its receiver success in the NFL Draft with
Malik Nabers
and
Brian Thomas
being the latest plus his late father is from Louisiana. Texas and Oregon are also trying to make a serious push as well.
Let’s see what their coaches are saying a year from now when their Heisman QB is gone, and transfer WR’s perform at 50% of last years production do. Meanwhile Ohio State should have a huge season again.
Would echo that, but add on that Egbuka is going in the 1st round if he stays healthy and we have so many more in the near future with Tate, Innis, Graham, Smith, etc. And if we want to hit the rewind button, MH Jr, Wilson, Olave...the list goes on. The kid should have his fun with visits, but I don't see a flip with Hartline around. Same subject, but I can't help thinking of Jeremiah Smith and CH Jr on the same field...good luck everyone.Let’s see what their coaches are saying a year from now when their Heisman QB is gone, and transfer WR’s perform at 50% of last years production do. A pair of 2026 wide receivers out of California got hot in the evening hours as Vance Spaffordand Madden Williams both saw a high volume of targets come their way. Ohio State commit Chris Henry Jr. also flashed in the morning session. Tristen Keys out of Mississippi is another youngster that had an overall solid showing. The same goes for Blaise LaVista, who resides outside of Chicago.
