A top quarterback prospect in the 2027 class has locked in a fall visit to Ohio State.
California prospect Brady Edmunds told On3 this week he’ll visit Columbus for the Buckeyes’ Oct. 26 game against Nebraska, as one of the projected standout signal callers in the 2027 class continues to grow his bond with Chip Kelly and Ryan Day. Edmunds became the first quarterback prospect Day and Kelly offered in the 2027 cycle following an impressive recruiting camp performance in June.
“My family and I have been Ohio State fans forever so obviously that offer has been a big check mark on my goals,” Edmunds told On3. “Coach (Riley) Larkin and coach Kelly have it great with the quarterbacks right now. They probably have one of the best quarterback rooms in the nation right now and I think that’s because of the reason that coach Day has consistently produced successful quarterbacks at the college level and then now at the pros as well. They also make it very clear that I’m their guy and at the top of their list so that means a lot to me.”
Edmunds is currently ranked the No. 14 prospect and the No. 2 quarterback in the 2027 class in 247Sports’ early top 100 player rankings for that cycle.

Honestly I know with transfer and such we need a QB every year, but for 26’ I say take a local kid that may be a project. Sayin and Noland, TSC, and this kid in 24’, 25’ and 27’ would be awesome

I can easily see the QB room next year being Sayin, TSC, an OH project and a Chuggs type from the Portal to teach the kids how to be mature and focused

Edmunds released his top 4 of Ohio State, ND, Michigan and Texas. He will visit all 4 in the next couple months before making his decision.
Actually Penn State instead of ND.
Wiltfong says Brady Edmunds will be visiting Ohio State for the Iowa game and still has Ohio State in the drivers seat.
