C Greg Oden (All B1G, All-American, Defensive Player of the Year, Butler Assistant Coach)

anyone know why his endurance is so sad or is that his lazy attitude before, he gets mad.

2 of his fouls were very weak and those officials were calling fouls on him like he was SHAQ in the NBA.

I have a real problem the way these officials get to that level. Most of them look like there about to die

I hope this isn't out of line, but that article by Livingston sucked.

Does that guy have something against OSU?

A little inside info -- when Greg fell last night on his chin the damage was much worse than he let on. He had to have a tooth pulled this morning as it was broken in the fall. Played through a lot of pain last night.

Yea, that was a nasty fall. I thought he was going to have a broken jaw. I hope he is feeling better today!

Thanks for the inside info Hoopsfan, hopefully he is feeling better this morning.

I do think that many people do not understand how frustrating it must be for Oden with the way the officials are calling these games. As big and strong as he is it would be easy for him to just muscle his way into the scoring column anytime he wants, but when he tries he is getting called for everything. When he hooked the defender last night with the elbow to get around him you could tell he was getting more and more annoyed with the lack of help from the officials. Every defender is grabbing any part of him that they can and getting away with it, if he does anything to establish position through the "mauling" he is called for the offensive.

Lets just hope Oden is able to keep his head about him and play within the team. I am sure he would love nothing more than to have an explosive game but teams are looking at how the game it being called and using it to the advantage.

Keep your head up Oden and don't worry about stats, winning is the ultimate stat and right now you are well ahead of the game. Anyone doubting that Oden is playing hard needs to head out to your local basketball court and jump in a pick-up game. It wears you out playing in a game with no fouls being called when you are getting molested under the nets.

Oden's got potential, but needs work

There were two major reasons why Greg Oden didn't consistently dominate Ohio State's courageous 85-84 win over Tennessee. He was saddled with foul trouble throughout, and while he was on the court the Volunteers' offense concentrated on perimeter shooting.

Yet even in his limited playing time, Oden showed why he'll either be the first or second pick in the upcoming NBA draft. And also what parts of his game are in need of drastic improvement.

thats a nice little breakdown.

though i feel that it addresses the situation very well. but, in doing so it fails to mention what causes most of these weaknesses: FOOTWORK.

I think Rosen also sells him short offensively. There's no mention of his jump-hook, or how well he uses both hands. It sounds like he's only seen highlights of Greg playing prior to the tournament. One negative offensive aspect that wasn't mentioned is his occasionally bringing the ball down too low.
