Looking for a reliable/trustworthy place to get a dodge intrepid repaired (the starter is giving out).

I'm from the dublin area, but feel free to recommend a place from somewhere else.

I'm not a mechanic... but if it really is only the starter... that's pretty basic.. and you don't need a good mechanic, per se...

when you do need a damn good mechanic.. in the Columbus area... I can get names and locations... two of THE best mechanics in Goodyear's entire USA service center org just happen to be in Columbus... they were at a location a couple miles from the University but have since been relocated to other locations within Columbus

I am not a mechanic either although I like to fix what I can. What makes you think it is the starter? Sometimes there are wires and cables that get corroded and just need to be cleaned.

NJ is right, usually this is something you can fix yourself with google and some handtools. How do you feel about getting on the ground and getting your hands dirty?

If it were me, you can buy a starter at Autozone and they are usually knowledgeable enough to show you what you need to do to change it. If the weather is ok they have tools you can borrow in the store and they might even help you change it.
One time my dad's brakes locked up so we got towed to an Autozone. It was a Saturday afternoon and everyplace that could fix it was closed. My dad is pretty good with cars, but a guy from Autozone came out and helped him replace the bad brake caliper.
I worked at and Autozone for a summer once, and IIRC starters are pretty easy to replace yourself.
