Ohio State Center Austin Parks Entering Transfer Portal After Two Seasons with the Buckeyes

Two days after its season officially ended, Ohio State has its first transfer portal entrant of the offseason.

Austin Parks announced Tuesday that he is entering the portal after two seasons with the Buckeyes, seeking a new home for his final two years of collegiate eligibility.

A native of St. Marys, Ohio, Parks played only sparingly in two seasons as a Buckeye, appearing in just 24 games as a reserve center. He averaged 1.3 points and 0.9 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game across 15 games in 2024-25.

I think Ivan coming in derailed his progress with the Bucks. Wish him well just don't go to that place.
Yeah, and (even as bad as he played) Aaron Bradshaw didn't help his progress either. Regardless, transferring is probably a smart move on his part; so far Austin Parks hasn't proven to be a very good "B1G center". He was just a 3 star recruit from a small rural Ohio HS (i.e. Memorial High School St. Mary's OH). I'm guessing that he should probably look into transferring to a MAC level (or below) school. Anyway I wish him well too.

True dat. In this day and age, anyone with his size has been playing ball at an elevated level, in a league with other kids that are special. These AAU teams have kids going from Ohio to Indiana, Kentucky, etc on a week endly basis. Just to get that competition. Kinda surprised that Austin didn't transfer to a local basketball powerhouse during HS. What I saw this year (in my opinion), was talent, but not polish. Don't really see much difference between him and Bradshaw, except, of course height. Anyway, do wish him well, as long as it's not TTUN. Or Indiana. Go Bucks!
