By the numbers...

I was looking at the numerical roster of the Bucks and came across some names I was hoping someone could shed some light on.

91 Juan Garnier DL 6-4/330 jr./so. Boston Mass./Everett/Auburn
92 Bret Daly DL 6-7/225 jr./so. Elyria Ohio/Elyria/Case Western

Also 10 new Buckeyes havent been given numbers yet. 84,75,66,65,62,60,48,40,37,31 and 28 are not taken. Anyone of these numbers retired? I know 45,22 & 27 are.

31 and 40 are retired. Garnier was added before the spring game, Daly was on the team last year for a while. They're both walk-ons. 70 and 83 will be open, with Maupin and Arden not returning.

So did Garnier play at Auburn before walking on with the Bucks? As well as Daly at Case Western?

That's what I'm hearing also. That frees up his 83 jersey. Also Maupin could be in academic problems possibly freeing up his 70 jersey.

So who do you give the 37 jersey to Laurinaitis or Spitler? We have a lot of high numbers left of course they could give one of the aforementioned LB's Bam's old #3 jersey.
