In a move that is pure awesomesauce, Amazon Prime now includes, at no extra charge, 5000 movies for streaming. Looks like you can use this with a number of devices - I'm going to try with Tivo this weekend.

As of yesterday, Tivo is not one of the devices that you can use. It is in their list of devices, but has an asterisk next to it.

My wife and I are going to go the Amazon Prime route pretty soon. I'll probably end up buying one of the Roku boxes for the one flatscreen, and probably hook the PC to the other flat screen (yet to be purchased). At $79/year the Instant Video will pay for the prime membership, since Netflix is about $120/year. Add in the other deals, and you really can't go wrong.

When I first posted that the site where I got the information from said this didn't work with student prime accounts, so I just deleted the whole post. I got an email this morning saying it worked with all prime accounts. Go figure.

It looks like you'll start out with 5 GB of free Cloud Drive storage, but be offered the chance to upgrade to 20 GB with an MP3 album purchase through Amazon. You'll be able to add songs and albums purchased from Amazon, as well as music from your own media library. Plus, documents, photos and video too.
Once you've added media to the Cloud Drive, you'll be able to stream it via Amazon's Cloud Player for Web or the Cloud Player for Android app?yes, iOS users appear to be out of luck for now.

MP3s from Amazon don't count against the quota. That's where I get most of my music now. I probably won't upload anything, but having all the new stuff available without messing with memory cards sounds great.
