Exactly. God knows how many yards & TD's he'd have without LenDale White there. :yow1: Scary thought.

Looks like 2400 and 30 some tds (tho bush isn't quite as good near the goal line)... I think he'd have less TDs and more yards.

It's probably unlikely that barry was sharing yards with another back, but equally unlikely that there were two 1,000 WRs on the team as well.

8.6 YPC is rediculous. Anybody know what Barry's was in '88?

1988 -- Barry Sanders; RB, Oklahoma State
(344 Rushes, 2625 Yards, 39 TDs)
Set 25 NCAA records in 1988 and averaged 200 yards a game.

Roughly 7.63 YPC

Plus 5 more TD's and 22 yards rushing on 29 carries in his bowl game, which doesn't show in the NCAA records back in 1988.

2,850 yards and 44 TD's. Add Bush and White together, and they're short of that. And as for the receivers that USC has, that threat helps their running game immensely. How many people to you think were in the box against Sanders all of the time in 1988?

What Barry did was amazing. Bush is damn good, but I'd still tip the scales to Barry right now..

Don't recall if Barry returned kicks and punts, though... Counting those skills of Reggie's - plus his ability to catch the ball and I might have to change my mind here...

hmmmm.....

Barry... Barry was a better back... Reggie is probably the more skilled all around.

I'm trying to find detailed stats for him.

He did have 621 other all-purpose yards prior to the bowl game, which are on some combination of pass receptions and return yards.
