Buckeyes want out of Syracuse series

The OSU's of the world do not schedule home and away series with the UCF/USF's of the world no matter how many alumni live in the area. Its simple mathmatics, you make more $$ by playing the game in Columbus. Unless they work out some sweet deal that makes the dollars right I just can't see this one.

If we schedule a florida school with the idea of continuing what we started with UT then its gotta be either UF or FSU because we already have a series with Miami.

Problem I see with that is that UF and FSU already play each other every year as their rivalry game but its also OOC for both. I wouldn't blame them one bit for not playing another big time school OOC.

Hmmmmm a school in Florida? Could it be with a new coach in that state that once said one of his dream jobs was coaching at THE Ohio State University?

Isn't Florida one of those schools we have never faced yet either?

Yeah, UCF is a good idea. It would help to strengthen our recruits down in the mid Florida area. If not UCF, then how about South Florida? They are now in C-USA and their coach seems to be turning things around slowly but surely.
They're bigLeast now.

A two game series with the Gators would have me in knots. I love the Buckeyes, but I'm still a native Floridian with UF roots.

I'd attend both games. Guaranteed!! Hell I'd make the trip to UCF too. I almost went there.

Why would Syracuse let Ohio State out of the contract? I would have thought that a big-name team like the Buckeyes is what Syracuse would want on a home-and-away series.
If they're replacing us with Texas, then they're not losing anything as far as big time programs go.

I like the idea of playing another Florida team, and I don't care if we have to play two of them in the same year as Miami. This may save us from one of them being a mediocre to bad team by the time we get there. Miami is fading faster than most realize, and Florida is on the rise. Take out a top team like Florida, and beat Miami in a recruit rich area like Miami-Dade, and you can make all kinds of in-roads into Florida recruiting.
