Buckeyes toughest/weakest test in title match

USC seems to be the most balanced team that I've seen this year, and their defense may be good enough to make it a game.

WVU is too one dimensional on offense and horrible on defense to keep up.

A one loss SEC team wouldn't be the problem that people are making it out to be. Florida maybe could muster enough offense to stay within two touchdowns, but the others aren't even close to the same level right now.

Michigan will be the Buckeyes' toughest opponent this year, but I doubt that we'll get the pleasure of whacking the Wolverines twice in one season. So, I'll say that Southern Cal would be the toughest Fiesta Bowl opponent - they are 52 and 2 in their last 54 games, so they must be doing something right down in SoCal. I hope that both teams run the table: OSU-USC would be an instant classic.

I'm not afraid of any of the "offensively challenged" programs from the SEC - and JT would have no problem outcoaching self-proclaimed geniuses like Tuberville and Meyer.

Actually, Clemson would be a tougher opponent than any of the overrated SEC teams.

If Rutgers some how manages to remain unbeaten and win the Big East, then they would have to be the "dream date" for the Fiesta Bowl.

It is tough to truly embrace this with Nov 18th looming in my mind.

Anyway, per the constraints I would rather not play Texas again. They seem to be getting better every week. Florida seems to be able to hang with anybody. With that said Florida has not really been dominant in big games. We will know more about USC in November and December.

No love for the Razorbacks? Perhaps over Louisville?near the bottom half of a top ten list? I guess Arkansas will be reveled as the team that played Auburn or the team that played USC in the next month or so.

Edit- I see smartone did have a mention of the Razorbacks.

NC Title game is not the Fiesta Bowl...it's a week later.

I'll go with the toughest opponent being Texas, since they've seen us already this year, and seem to have improved since then. Behind them, I'd put Florida and USC.

The softest opponent would be any team making it out of the Big East -- WVU, Louisville, Rutgers in descending order of Charmin-like qualities.

Do you still think that, given the ass whoopin that was handed to them in Blacksburg last night? :wink2:

If stack up guys in the box, that team can be shut down.

While I made a point of saying that they were not as good as they looked in a beat down of the Yellow Jackets; I firmly believe that they are better than they looked against the Hokies. They had a short week, and they were coming off of a high. Tommy Bowden teams have seldom done well when coming off an emotional high.

That does bring up the point of Tommy Bowden vs. Jim Tressel doesn't it??

Talk about Bambi vs. Godzilla...
