This kinda sucks...looks like we dropped to Number 9

I know this has been mentioned elsewhere - but it just does not make sense to me that in a game between #2 and #4 (or #6) when the lower ranked team loses, why diss them further with an extra hit in the polls?
It simply reinforces for me how fucking stupid and herd-mentality like the AP voters are. Think of this, it is the simplest of math, yet these numb-skulls cannot EVER get it right. By what slim margin would the lower ranked team have to lose before NOT getting ranked lower yet under these circumstances, 0.0001 point?? It is completely daft and totally illogical.

Don't get your down over these rankings. You guys are the highest ranked team with a loss. Don't worry, you'll move up in the rankings when the teams ahead of you lose some games. They are sure to lose some because they play each other. Don't give up either, I'd love to meet you (We gotta get there first  )guys in the Rose Bowl. I think it would be another instant classic. The Bucks are a very deserving team and there's a lot of season left.

I agree... honestly on my way outta the shoe' I started think'n what happens if both Texas and OSU run the table and everyone else loses? we'd almost certainly face each other again. Wow would that be cool or what? we'd have to strike back up this thead... no doubt that'd be a great game.. AGAIN. man does this loss suck tho haha.

So does anyone else think we need an Offensive coordinator?

I'm happy with #9 honestly. I could have seen worse happen. We deserve to be, and are the top-ranked 1-loss team. Unfortunately we now depend on some teams taking losses, but if we were able to win out and only one team is undefeated...you know what I'm thinking

...and I could care less about the polls anyways so...

Thoughts on those in front of us:

Florida State is a complete joke. They played in the worst "game" of the season so far where somebody had to win, and The Citadel. The Citadel was the single reason why Auburn didn't go to the NC game last year. Now they are good enough to vault FSU into the top 10?

Tennessee and VTech looked much worse than we did in our loss in their first week games that they won. I don't know anything about this weekends games as i just got home.

Has Florida stopped scheduling high schools yet?

Everybody else should be up there. I don't think anybody is going undefeated in the SEC this year, so as long as we win out we can get back up. FSU, Florida, Tenn, VTech......those are all guaranteed teams to lose at least once.

We can get to Pasadena for a rematch.

If Ohio State wins out, they'll be right where they need to be when December comes around. Worry not.

It's a long way to go yet. It sucks that OSU now needs help, but chances are only 1 - if any - team will end up with zero losses this year (reg. Season)

I remember getting pretty pissed that FSU made the first BCS Championship bowl game solely because the game they lost - to NC St - came in week 2. Now, maybe OSU gets the "early loss late season benefit"

Exactly what I was going to say...we lost right when we needed to (If we were going to regardless)...early and to a non big-ten team...don't give up hope just yet
