Buckeyes in the Majors

The link below is to what I believe to be a complete list of OSU players who have made it to the big show. If anyone knows of anyone else who did, I'd love to know.

Unfortunately, our only current big leaguer is Dave Burba who is in camp with the Brewers again. Hopefully guys like Nick Swisher, Christian Snavely, Mike Lockwood, Eric Thompson(not sure if those last two are still in pro baseball--they were with Oakland), and Matt Davis will make it before Dave finally retires.

The most successful big league Buckeye is, by leaps and bounds, Frank Howard. He is the only OSU player who can be classified as having been a star in the majors.

Jim Abbott was nowhere near as valuable of a player as Frank Howard.

I suggest you look at the recent performances of OSU and scum baseball. But facts of course wouldn't help your agenda, so you won't.

Uh, that's just my point. OSU has a baseball legecy that trumps every big 10 school, yet churns out mediocre MLB players. I guess you're just upset that your "It's a northern school" obviously doesn't apply to scUM.

Indeed sushi.

Gotta love the Sox fans getting behind the new guy with the "YYYYYYOOOOOUUUUUUUUKKKKKK" chants.

Another win for the good guys tonight.

Things may get ugly for the rest of the league when Trot and Nomar come back.
