I only know the bare minimum of Illinois' history (not much beyond Red Grange, Dick Butkus, and the rivalry with OSU), but I do respect their history--as well as the talent to be found in the Chicago area (not to mention other areas in the midwest). If the Zooker can tap the talent pool (and maybe hire outstanding assistants to run the team for him :wink:), Illinois could start to make a lot of noise in coming years.

They could choose to carry on the tradition of recruits coming out of IL and staring at tOSU. I know there is quite a list, Tomsik comes to mind. I think we even had a Heisman campain for an Il. guy whose career ended in a medical.
