Buckeyes want U-M to get better (sort of)

Not sure why, but the new Sporting News gathered 33 former Buckeyes to poll them on various college football issues.

Such as, are they glad Michigan's program is down? No, 29 of them said.
"Once in a while is good," Bruce Elia explained.

But, "they're so bad, they're not even competitive," Na'il Diggs said. "I liked it when they were better when Lloyd Carr was there and they were still getting beat by us. Good living."

A resounding 32 said they liked Tressel Ball, "as long as he beats Michigan," Bob Brudzinski added.

Do you sense a pattern?

OK, if they could have just one, would they rather beat the Wolverines or win the Rose Bowl? The vote was closer, but still 20-13 for whupping Michigan.

"A win over Meatchicken rights all wrongs, keeps Earth on its proper orbit, eases international tension and slows global warming," Ben Hartsock said. "A loss? Not worth contemplating."

And Stan White: "Unless the Rose Bowl is the national title game, I want the win over the weasels."

One of the dissenters was Craig Krenzel, who said: "I'm not one of those guys that would take a one-win season as long as it's Michigan."

Of course Krenzel's from Utica. They probably suspect him of being a mole for the weasels.

That is definitely my favorite one. Nice article, got a great kick out of it.
