BuckeyePlanet Homework

No you followed me correctly. It seems their pages are filled with trivial pages already, so I don't see the harm in a few more pebbles added to the grand canyon of info. Could you explain why they (might) wish we didn't add profiles on trivial players?

Otherwise, it seems like a great way to bolster their index, have room for our gathered data, and keep bpWiki more concise.

I don't know their policy either, but I know a professor that created an entry for himself, and it was deleted.

I think we should avoid the situation. Don't want to be at the mercy of their administrators.

Well room isn't an issue here. I think we should definitely be linking to Wikipedia content where and as we can. I suppose my only concern about developing content there is that it's not a controlled environment. This is. I do see your point though, and don't know what the best way to approach it overall is. Clearly there's going to be overlap between Wikipedia and some of our content. The purpose of beepeeweekee is not to replace Wikipedia in terms of Buckeye content, but simply to be a complete repository for all things Buckeye. Supplemented with the stats engine, should that EVER be completed, and I think we finally have what I envisioned over 6 years ago.

If anyone wants to do so feel free to post a couple Jack Tatum pics in the bpWiki page I have been making for him. I have been trying to figure it out and I have still not been successful. I have tried uploading pics on the site and it tells me that a jpg is not a recommended something or other.

ok someone look at this please and tell me if it's right.
http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/wiki/index.php/Jim_Parker

You can check out other players that have been done for a guideline of sorts, if you like. You can even just click edit on them, copy all their code, and paste that into Jim Parker in order to edit and build around it.

Either way, the only thing I noticed so far is that instead of putting different information about Jim on different pages, you should have it all on one, and use links for other sites, and/or local BP threads.

Ok I'll stop polluting this thread.. the content box worked fine on the copy & paste but the infobox did not.. heres the link to MY page which as of right now is a straight up copy from wiki

http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/wiki/index.php/Terry_Glenn

EDIT: Page is all but done now

I suspect the infobox is a template, we would have to just see which one (what it's named), load it up, and then consider the code.

I think.
