i'm a big fan of Eric Johnson as well, and seemingly every other guitarist from austin. would have loved to hear him play with SRV...

i also saw him at the newport for Ah Via Musicom. got a HUGE bonus when i went to see rush at richfield coliseum right around the same time and found out that he was the opening act.

I'm a big Bruce Cockburn fan. Have seen him solo acoustic and with his band. He can rock the house. Not a well known guy in the US. Canadian artist of the year multiple times. Equal songwriter to Tom Waits. And a superb musician.

I got an accoustic not 2 Christmas' ago and have played on and off. I like Satriani personally but I'm sure you've all heard him.
