The James signing? There were a few yes. But I don't know which ones you're talking about and I'm not claiming all of them! I'd never put my name on some of those photos. The selection and quality was subpar as demonstrated by the fan reaction to the different photos there. Hell, one of the photos was so out of focus it was DISGUSTING that this would even be offered as a legitimate photo! TOTALLY DISGUSTING that someone would pass this off as a photo to fans who deserve better and are not getting it.

The only way any of my stuff will be there for Beanie is someone who's a personal customer of mine who's bought stuff from me for themselves.

Don't even get me started on the promoters. In reality they're really not needed if the players would just book their own shows. It's not that hard and the stores would love it b/c they'd save money.

The promoter charges 10% on top of the signing fee to the store or whomever is holding the event. For example, James and Beanie (diff promoters) both charge $5K for two hours. The promoters make $500 on top of that fee. Everywhere else in the entertainment industry the ATHLETE, MOVIE STAR, or CELEBRITY pays the promoter that 10% out of his/her fee. The stores are getting screwed IMO.

Thanks. I'd like to hear what you think about them. I was looking at a Nugent and a Michael Jenkins from them. After comparing their autographs to those on Cardboard Heroes, they seem legit.

Yeah, not too many people would pay for a Mike Nugent autograph these days. It's funny how these guys (Laurinaitis and Beanie etc) think they're worth a whole lot of money by signing autographs when they're really not worth more than $15 in memorabilia terms. It's the "sticky" promoters and agents that fill their heads with these crazy dollar amounts based on previous years etc. It's all out of wack when it boils down to it. If the people didn't show up the prices would drop, BUT they continue to show up. What are you gonna do?

I just talked to HAYN about ordering some other photos and he said that you may have something coming up or in the works. He didn't want to say much. You and I both know that he has the best photos around and it's a shame they're not at all the shows around the State. I ONLY order from him. Hell, he's a former Buckeye! So, you gonna give up the goods?:biggrin:

Guys, I'm going to be straight with all of you.

This thread has gone astray of the original intentions. This has become a thread of pimping sites, events, and other money making opportunities.

I'm sorry, but we don't do that here. BP is being used as a vessel for other people to make money.

Usually, we call that Spam.

Since this thread has involved "friends" it has been treated with some special rules.

However, those rules are now being pushed further and further. Lately, we've seen "collectors" bash players, pimp products, and steer users to specific sellers.

Enough is enough.

Anything beyond a simple notification of a signing event will be deleted and handled as Spam. Repeat offenders will be handled according to the Infraction scale as designated by this site.

For whom? The players or you? The original intent of this thread was to alert fans of signings...that original intent has morphed into "collectors" who are turning a profit from these events through resale or by selling materials for the events.

So essentially, while we struggle to tread water with this site, we provide 100% free advertising for others to make cash using our forum.

Sorry. Enough is enough. Many of the posters in this thread do not contribute anything outside of this thread...its pretty easy to see how we are being used for a sole purpose.

If that is a problem, feel free to take your updates elsewhere.

How do you figure? What he did was tell people to quit pimping one persons website. The thread got started to let people know what signings were going on. Not so HAYN could sit here and tell people how "great" his pictures are and they everyone could get them from him. If grad was trying to be a dick he would have gone through and removed all the references and links to the website to buy them at, or he could make HAYN change his sig as right now hayn is still getting allot a free advertising with his sig. But he didn't do that, instead he ask for everyone to keep the thread on its intended purpose which is to let people know if they see or hear about autograph signings, so be a soapbox to sell products.
