1) See the pyramids in Egypt
2) See the northern lights
3) Drive across the country by myself
4) Play a gig in front of thousands of people

I think that covers it. Last one is sadly the most unlikely, and that's the one I want to do most.

I suppose at some point I would like to see Mt Rushmore, but i'm not holding out hope on that one.

I used to have a job where I traveled a bit, so I got to see pretty much every site there is to see in the continental US, except Mt Rushmore. I did get to work one weekend in Rapid City SD in July 2002, and it just happened to coincide with wildfires in the Black Hills, so tours of Rushmore were closed the two days I was there.

Alaska to see Northern Lights

Northern Lights is one I'd like to see, but also the opportunity to be somewhere so remote on a clear moonless night that I can see the Milky Way. Living in the eastern half of the US pretty much assures light pollution and shitty star gazing conditions.

I really want to drive Rt. 66, or what's left of it. As well as see the northern lights and be somewhere I can easily photograph it. The other realistic list item is to hit all the big western national parks (Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Yosemite, etc.).

The things I'm not as likely to be able to do: visit Kenya and do some photography on a safari, see the pyramids, travel around Europe, visit Sydney, see New Zealand, and walk along the Great Wall.

not that anybody here cares, but I'm going to The Big House this weekend for my first ever game. Pretty excited. Feel bad for leaving the wife with 4 kids, but OH WELL SUCKAAAAAAAAAAAA

Nice - have fun. I saw the Bucks play there in '87. Don't forget yo keys.

Tangentially related (your bucket list), I visited Mt. Rushmore a few weeks ago. It was much...cooler...than I expected. I found it strangly compelling to photograph from many angles.

Spend a week or more in Gates of the Arctic, photo safari(s) in Africa. Those are my big ones that I question if I'll ever be able to afford but I really want to do.

The more realistic list includes Grand Canyon and the surrounding NPs, Yellowstone, Yosemite, a few Europe trips (Norway, Iceland, Paris, London), Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
