I've met an odd mix of celebs through work. One day I was assigned to find a bucket for Ray Charles to pee in. Gotta do what you gotta do when you're on stage that long, I guess. I understand he didn't end up using it, but I didn't stick around to find out.

Once found myself singing along with a group of Broadway stars in a limo. Big fun. :)

I've "brushed" a few people:

Jessica Lange and husband Sam Shepard were on my flight to Cancun several years ago.
Saw Bill Walton in the San Diego airport (I think he's a jackass, so no autograph).
Delivered luggage for Lou Grahm (of Foreigner) and Jefferson Starship at Columbus hotels.
Hung out with Michael Jackson (Browns WR in early 90's) one evening- a friend knew him.
Met Weird Al Yankovich at a bar in MI.
Have met Jeff Gordon, Robbie Loomis and Rick Hendrick at work several times.
I met and talked to Ice-T with his band Body Count at the first Lollapalooza tour in Cleveland. He was very cool.

And, I'm only 2 degrees away from Kevin Bacon- a guy at work went to high school with him.

I think that's it.

I've met numerous sports figures and a few hollywood celebs in my time. My most recent one was last fall when I met a guy named Dallas Roberts through work (theatres). He was there for a showing of his flick A Home At The End of the World (also starring Colin Farrel and Sissy Spacek). We went out to dinner with a few people and then had some drinks at a bar... great guy. He's also been on Law and Order and has a few movies coming out next year along with some off broadway stuff. We're supposed to golf next month if he makes it back down here.

our company has a firm that comes and collects our backup tapes every Tuesday/Thursday, and we have gotten to know the driver pretty well so he generally shoots the shit with us for a few minutes. the other day he said that he had a buddy who had the same surgeon as K2 and this "friend" said that the doctor told him all about the extent of K2's injuries....we just laughed in his face, it was so funny, reminded me of 3rd grade

"my dad knows this guy who knows this guy...."

"no he doesnt"

"yes he does, stop making fun of me..."

No one, I live a dull life.

My wife met Lynard Skynard at the Myrtle Beach airport years ago. Her and her sister were waiting for their flight and were sitting at a restaurant bar, and along came Skynard. She got to talk to them for a half hour or so.

Rob Dibble knocked me down at a baseball card show when I was a 5th grader. He was there to sign autograph's and I was standing in front of a door, he opened the door and it took me out. He kept walking, but Joe Oliver (Reds Catcher at the time) actually stopped, asked if I was OK and brought us to the front of the autograph line.

My only other brushs were when I talked to Kevin Smith in a bar while hammered (actually all I said was "Dude, you're Silent Bob"), and got ran over by Curtis Enis multiple times in a HS Game...

I sat a table with Ray Charles in a Heathrow airport lounge. A$$hole wouldn't sign an autograph for me even though I let him and his entourage sit at my table (lounge was full). Other than that, went to boarding school with Uma Thurman for two years and would see her walking through campus. This was before she was super famous and she wasn't really all that attractive back then.

Muhammad Ali walked past me at O'Hare airport once. At one time he was the most famous person in the world. I've also seen Richard Petty there. About a year and a half ago I was sitting with my family near a gate waiting for a flight, and Jim Plunkett sat down right across from me. I decided not to talk to him about anything, especially the 1971 Rose Bowl. :(
Muhammad Ali - that is the one person who, if I met, I would probably pee my pants and just stand there blubbering

I have met many famous golfers over the years, although not Arnie.
Kenny Rogers once played golf at the course I was working at, and we got to talk to him quite a bit (the waitresses were fighting over taking home the chair he had sat in)
Met the late actor Richard Krenna the same way - thanked him for "The Sand Pebbles" - by the way, a huge Cleveland Browns fan :)
Joe Morgan, many LPGA players, including Nancy Lopez, some former Buckeyes and Bengals,
But the best by far for me was meeting Neil Armstrong.
