Browns: Through my googles

Bleed S & G

Taking Crazy Pills
I, and others, have been hoping/wishing the Brownies can get Troy Smith on their roster with a fair shot to play. The other night, me and a buddy watched a video from TimBuck2(I think) and it really confirmed my wishes for bringing Troy to Cleveland.

Through my S&G glasses, I would really like to see this happen: Trade, beg, borrow for Troy. Trade Cribbs (I do love Josh, but he obviously isn't happy here at this point in time) for Teddy Ginn. Troy knows Teddy and Teddy knows Troy.

Teddy has the speed to play in the league. Troy has the arm, smarts, and "it" to be a QB in the league.

Crazy, yes. Unlikely, yes. Here is the video that prompted this - watch it and tell me Troy can't play in the NFL:

Still wishing and hoping..

I would love to see Troy in Cleveland, but you lost me at the bolded part.....you want to trade Cleveland's biggest threat to score(maybe the best special teams player ever in the NFL) for a guy that has the worst hands in the NFL this side of Braylon Edwards?....I'm as big of a fan as Teddy Ginn as anyone out there but that is borderline insane talk right there...

Agreed. Loved Teddy for what he did in Columbus, but outside of a few flashes, he's done little in the NFL. Neither is much of a reciever, but Cribbs is the most dangerous return man in the game. He also contributes in the running game, as a wildcat QB and plays special teams. That would be a foolish move.

I understand - and a big part of me agrees.

All I'm sayin' is, if Cribbs wants out - and won't play, he isn't a big threat on returns from the sidelines.

For the record, I think they should pay Cribbs.

Cribbs is not going anywhere IMHO. He is a team leader and a big part of the heart and soul of the team and fan base. Holmgren indicated he wants Josh. I can see the Browns trading Sean Rogers before JC. Joe Thomas is probably the only untouchable on their roster.
