Charlie Frye had a bumpy ride on Saturday, but still earns praise...

Charlie Frye had a rocky morning practice Saturday, throwing one pass that was intercepted by former Eastern Michigan linebacker Kevin Harrison and another that was batted down at the line. According to Crennel, the third-round pick from Akron could be trying a bit too hard in his first chance to work with his new team.
"Charlie is a little tight," said Crennel. "He wants to impress. He is a local guy, so he was strong arming the ball a little bit. But I like Charlie's size and his attitude, and I think he'll be ok."
Hall-of-Fame running back Jim Brown has a hopes Frye can be more than just o.k.
"We drafted a kid I heard about with glowing remarks in Frye," said Brown, who was in Berea Saturday to watch mini-camp and speak to this year's rookie crop. "We don't know what his potential is. He could be a tremendous find."
Brown likes the idea of Frye learning behind a veteran like Trent Dilfer.
"It's kind of exciting, the two of them as a tandem," said Brown. "One is steady. An old pro who knows what he is doing. The other has potential that we don't even know how far he can go. I like that prospect."
BROWN ON BRAYLAN - Jim Brown spent most of Saturday's morning practice watching Braylan Edwards from the sidelines and marveling at the No. 1 pick's potential. "I was amazed at his body," said Brown. "You look at a wide receiver with that kind of body, that kind of speed, that kind of attitude and intelligence, it's really wonderful to see."

Charlie Frye had a rocky morning practice Saturday, throwing one pass that was intercepted by former Eastern Michigan linebacker Kevin Harrison and another that was batted down at the line. According to Crennel, the third-round pick from Akron could be trying a bit too hard in his first chance to work with his new team.
"Charlie is a little tight," said Crennel. "He wants to impress. He is a local guy, so he was strong arming the ball a little bit. But I like Charlie's size and his attitude, and I think he'll be ok."
Hall-of-Fame running back Jim Brown has a hopes Frye can be more than just o.k.
"We drafted a kid I heard about with glowing remarks in Frye," said Brown, who was in Berea Saturday to watch mini-camp and speak to this year's rookie crop. "We don't know what his potential is. He could be a tremendous find."
Brown likes the idea of Frye learning behind a veteran like Trent Dilfer.
"It's kind of exciting, the two of them as a tandem," said Brown. "One is steady. An old pro who knows what he is doing. The other has potential that we don't even know how far he can go. I like that prospect."
BROWN ON BRAYLAN - Jim Brown spent most of Saturday's morning practice watching Braylan Edwards from the sidelines and marveling at the No. 1 pick's potential. "I was amazed at his body," said Brown. "You look at a wide receiver with that kind of body, that kind of speed, that kind of attitude and intelligence, it's really wonderful to see."
