Browns at Redskins(-6.5)

You can't blame Dawson for missing that FG. If the rest of his degenerate team COULD put him in a better position, the world would probably stop rotating. As a matter of fact, I believe it would take an even such as all the starts in the universe lining up before we could put dawson in a position where he MIGHT be able to make a FG.

DA can't throw a pass on the money, and even if he did Edward Scissorhands couldn't catch it.

Hats off to Jamal. He had a pretty good night. Other than a few good runs on his part, we pretty well sucked balls. And I'm not talking about golf balls, I'm talking about huge watermelons. And not the kind you can pick off the vine, the kind that fall on your head when you least expect it and give you a concussion.

In short, we may not win another game this year unless Crennel can pull his head out of his ass long enough to see that the current system is not working. Coaches need fired, players need benched and a new passion we haven't seen in Cleveland in YEARS needs to be ushered in by the players who care.

I want to see Quinn, and I want to see him NOW! RIGHT [censored]ING NOW!!!

Go Brownies... In a gay kind of way, because I feel dead and numb. The cardiac kids stole my heart from me.

So you're blaming the loss on Winslow?

I don't want to see Quinn. Personally I don't think we can expect the play calling to put him into a position to succeed at this point. Quinn's shot will be coming sooner rather than later though unless DA starts throwing for 300 a game.

And, FWIW, I don't think Quinn does any better than DA in this game. Washington's defense is one of the best in the league. With a team that out of sync, throwing a guy who is essentially a rookie out there is like chum in the water.....

Would Quinn miss the open WRs that Anderson was missing? Can't say for sure, but I don't think he would've been any worse..

Where was the offense from Monday night? Where was the aggressive O that took chances, rolled DA out, went deep? DA is a poor man's Vinny Testaverde, piss poor 90% of the time but so good the remaining 10% that you can't let go, don't want to trade him. He's a fucking slot machine in pads.

probably not, but Washington would certainly have blitzed more.

Kinda damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Washington would have tried to force Quinn mistakes being that he has no experience.

With DA they let him pass his way to a 15 for 36 night or whatever it was...

This is no way excuses what I saw as an overly conservative gameplan AND the fact they threw the ball, by my count, on first down on 7 of their first 9 offensive drives and didn't complete ONE of those passes. Add in Edwards return to form and there you go.

It's deeper than DA guys. The whole friggin team is so mentally fragile that really any bump in the road is enough to beat them.

I know it's deeper than DA, I just think Quinn deserves a shot. DA certainly hasn't done enough to keep Quinn of the field IMO.

I'm not really a Browns fan. I don't really care that much regardless.

At this point I don't know if you can put Quinn in and legitimately say you are trying to win.

that said, they aren't going to win with DA at QB or Crennel as the HC or the 3-4 as their base defense.

You don't want Quinn to be put into a bad position. Maybe once this team is 3-10 or something and there wouldn't be any pressure except to show something for next year, but I think that is what it's going to take. 3-10 not being literal of course. Basically Quinn needs to be told to go out and play and not worry about the scoreboard. It's too early to say that because Crennel knows if the season goes to hell he's gone so he'll stick with DA until he's fired probably.

I don't think putting Quinn in would be giving up on the season. Quite the opposite, really. DA looks nearly useless as a starter at the moment, aside from that one game.

I don't think you can keep Anderson in and say that you're trying to win. He isn't helping the team, at all. I don't really see any reason to keep him in.

Ugh, I can't believe I had to gut out listening to the gawd awful Redskins broadcasters on Sirius to listen to this turd.

*clears throat* Fuck Crennel, fuck Anderson and most of all, fuck Braylon. All the good will he built up with last season is gone. How can somebody whose job is to fucking catch footballs suck so bad at it??? DA is what he is...a fucking flash in the pan. He lit up inferior competition for 11 weeks last year and has followed that up with, what, one good game in his last ten tries? He's inaccurate as fuck and how does somebody that damn tall get so many balls batted down? Bring in Quinn...please. Finally, what in the blue FUCK was with throwing on four straight downs when you have 1st and goal on the motherfucking one yard line? This team is coached by a fucking baboon. The worst part is for the first time in recent memory, the Browns appear to have a defense, but they're stuck with a statue QB who can't hit a 5 yard hitch and a "star" reciever who is playing like he just had a friggin' manicure and is afraid of chipping a nail.

Jesus, with that your lucky there is only a no buckeye bashing rule on this sight. Hindsight is twenty twenty no one can say that if we put Quinn in we would have played any better. He has yet to start an NFL game. The only thing i can say about this team is their ability to not overcome obstacles. The only player that i could even frown upon is Edwards. There are so many intangibles that comes with playing QB in the NFL that we have no clue about. But there is no reason and i repeat NO reason Braylon "alligator arms" Edwards should have dropped so many passes this year. We started of 2 and 3 last year and finished 10 and 6. Who knows what can happen so I am not sure about all of you Browns fans but my love for this team will not waiver. Just remember when we didnt even have a team.

Yep, but these are millionaires paid to perform...that's the difference.

I hate this excuse. So...when should he see the field? DA has had one good performance in his last ten games (last week). Most f this year he has looked downright awful. Better QB play (okay, and Braylon actually catching the ball) and that game yesterday doesn't come down to a 54 yard FG.

...and neither will mine, but does that mean we can't call a bunch of millionaires out when they play like shit...on a regular basis? Please.

You are right about the QB position requiring intangibles. The current starter lacks most of those.
He gets it.

Look, maybe Brady does no better, but how will we know if he doesn't get the chance. DA was, what, the 26th rated passer in the league before yesterdays awful performance? If it was just this year, you could maybe blame it on a "slow start", but he stunk it up the last month of last year too. At some point, you have to cut your losses and admit a mistake. If he turns it around and plays great from here on out, I'll be the first to step up for a nice big plate of crow, but I don't see it happening and I don't see a lot of wins (other than vs. the Bungles) with Anderson under center.
