my biggest takeaway from this game is Eric Wright couldvery easily be the worst tackling CB in the league.

Not saying he isn't a good CB...Deion didn't tackle anyone...ever.

Eric probably has more tackles this season than Deion had in his caree, but Eric doesn't make an attempt to take anyone down. He forces runners towards his help or the sidelines, but he refuses to stick his neck in the pile.

There have been 3 or 4 runs that should have gone for negative yardage if you have a CB willing to mix it up. Please, Please, Please bring in a physical corner Phil.

Everybody responsible for this abomination of a defense needs to be fired. I've never seen such [censored] poor tackling. :smash:

Bill Cowher would fix this [censored] real quick.

Can you imagine practices after watching the team defensive effort on some of these catch and runs?

It is a joke.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I think I counted 5 missed tackles on that Lynch run a few minutes back.

Does Cowher have any interest? I don't pay too much attention to off-field things with the Browns.

The Browns make a lot of contact on defense, they just don't wrap the ball carrier. If they tackled on first contact even half the time, they might have a pretty respectable defense.

Don't want fan rumor flames, but a couple months ago he definatively bought a home in Strongsville. Haven't heard any good reason why someone living in North Carolina would have bought a home in a suburb of Cleveland.

The flip side is, how would Cowher have known he was getting the gig a couple of months ago?

I did hear that rumor, but I thought I also thought that it was refuted.

Would be pretty interesting. It would be nice to have good pro football in this state, for once.
