Browns 3, Ravens 34 (final)

Now we need a vbet on the over/under on Browns' TDs this year! My bet? 5 in 16 games. And that's being optimistic. This team is baaaaad. The worst offense ever.

I think about the Cowboys when they went 1-15 in what was it? 89? The traded Herschel Walker for 4 first round draft picks and that build them into the multiple Super Bowl winner they became in the 90s. This team doesn't have anyone that they could dupe into that kind of trade and if they did, they'd fuck up the 4 1st's.

Fuck this team. Today I took my family on a hike. It was a beautiful day, sunny, warm but not hot, nice. And best of all - no fucking Browns.

This team is worse than the 2008 Lions, that simple.

I said bring in Troy, not only because I"m a Buckeye fan, but I believe he would have been a much better pickup than Brady freakin' Quinn. I was bitching about it all during the draft. Then look, we move back up sacrificing more draft picks for the Golden Boy. Why can't Troy be an NFL QB? Size? Hello Mr. Drew Brees... Arm strength? has plenty of it. Mobility? Check: Passion for the game and love for his hometown - big time.

Please explain how bringing him in would be worse than where we are now?
Seriously, please do, I'm curious as to why it wouldn't be something to be worth looking into, even for depth chart purposes. Lets suppose he's never a starter, he's a proven backup.

I'm just looking at possibilities to get this ship righted. It starts with the QB position and I think if DA can get his head out of his ass and not bother to look over his shoulder - then he has the physical tools and room for development to lead this team.

I wouldn't wish this shit on Troy Smith.

This. He's much better off as a backup for the Ratbirds.

Now, to answer the question "why I wouldn't want Troy as the Browns' QB?" or "Why wouldn't he succeed?" or "be any worse off":

Remember the 2007 BCSNCG? That's why. That would be every week. If he wasn't a former tOSU QB, he wouldn't be a blip on anybody here's radar. Sorry to sound harsh, but it's the truth.

This we can agree on.

Never said any worse...just no better. I wouldn't call him a "proven backup" based on his limited track record either.

- It starts with a compitent front office and coach, something that has been lacking here for a very, very long time. I have serious doubts as to whether Mangini/Kokanis are any better than the garbage that's been calling the shots for a decade.
- DA has all the physical tools in the world. Problem is, they're guided by a two cent brain.

I still think that the offense appeared to be slightly more, ummm confident when Anderson was in there before it became a pick-fest.

You think maybe the team might not like Brady Quinn all that much??

Who knows. It doesn't really matter. At this point it's like trying to chose between gonnorhea or chlymidia...either way, you're gonna have to have that little pipe cleaner thingy rammed down your peter.

Only if you care - which, honestly, I don't.

If you don't expect much, you can't be disappointed.

I'm just glad they scored

figures the year they'll prob have the #1 pick, there isn't really a no brainer or elite level player with the first choice.

I'm still really disappointed AP isn't a Brown, and that Brady Quinn is our QB. Joe Thomas has been good, but AP was an "all-world" talent. And a lot of people had that opinion before the draft.

Although, he'd prob suck behind our line and be injury prone had Cleveland taken him. This team just makes so many mistakes and compounds them with more mistakes. An absolute train-wreck.

And what's it going to take to upgrade the secondary? Or is the plan to continue using below average CB's as starters? So many holes to fill on this team...thank God we have Alex Mack though. He might be worth at least 1 win this year.
