Larry Scott brokered the richest television deal in the history of collegiate athletics for his conference, one that not only ensures tens of millions of dollars annually for all of its members but also allows for the type of visibility and exposure necessary to get into every recruit's living room.

That's right folks they finally got a competitive TV contract so they are poised for domination!

No doubt Brock will conveniently forget this argument when the B1G comes up for renegotiation in a few years.
 
What's strange to me is that each week he's on the sports radio program I listen to, and this year they've all agreed that outside of Oregon, Stanford and USC the Pac-12 is rubbish. That's not going to change any time soon especially as the conference tends toward a conference of zero defense.

With RichRod and Leach coming in with murmurs of Sumlin, I think the Pac-12 is poised to light up the scoreboards, thus garner some media attention. ESPN loves interesting storylines that aren't in the Midwest. Since Boise tanked, the Pac-12 can be their new favorite flash-in-the-pan.

The west is always going to have problems keeping up with the rest of the country because outside of The big cities of California it's so sparsely populated compared the rest of the country. Check out a population density map sometime. There's just fewer prospects out there.
