Brock Bolen

Not sure where to put this thread but a couple good stories about Brock's dad. Brock Bolen is a former recruit that went to Germantown Valley View and turned down an OSU offer to be a FB to a TB at Illinois and transfered to Louisville after the Zooker was hired.

--- Jim Bolen has what he calls a "war room" in his basement, where he keeps photos of the men he killed in Rhodesia, his war medals and pictures of him from Soldier of Fortune magazine. He said whenever any young men tried to date Brock's sister, Stephanie, he would take them first for a tour of the war room.

"I'd show them the guys I used to kill," Jim said. "And I'd say, 'Son, I used to do this for a living. Imagine what I'd do if somebody were to mess with my daughter.' That was a very good intimidation factor."

Interesting character he went to prison in the 80's for trying to organize an arms sale to some Africans that turned out to be undercover ATF agents. The mayor of Centerville, a couple prominent Dayton attorneys and him ended up getting taken down.
