As requested, I outlined the letters in red, and the result is much nicer, IMO. Also, the jersey takes on another level if you can imagine those wrinkles in the shorts as being reflections on the shiny fabric. The gray needs to be lightened a little, but this image didn't lighten very easily so I ignored that aspect.

Awesome pics BFS! Is it possible to make the red stripe look like the helmet stripe? Great job anyway.

it is possible, but design wise I don't think it would look as good... b/c the stripes would need to be pretty wide (the thinner football stripes would look dumb on the sides)... and I doubt that would work. Not a bad suggestion, but I can envision it and don't think it would work. Someone else could try if they wanted.

What if you left the stripe wide like in the picture but added the white and black trim to the stripe. I am trying to picture it on the picture you have but its not quite working.

NM. After I enlarged the picture I could see the white trim on there. Looks awesome!

how about you make up one of those with conley and oden in the jersey for the WF board
Brilliant! Quick everyone go out and find all the conley pics you can that would fit Jekel's orientation and post them here. We can split it off later if need be.

BFS,

Although the pictures look sweet, I had to vote for the white. I just like the contrast between the white/red more than the gray/red.

By the way, shouldn't Conley be looking at the basket? He's so damn good that the game is boring him.

Maybe I'm too much of a traditionalist. Home uniforms should be white (in basketball). For every team. Away uniforms in football should be white. Not gray. Not yellow. Not light blue. Not pink or orange or puke-green.

And away uniforms (in basketball) should be DARK. Not gray. Not yellow or light blue. I think that what convinced me of these opinions was when Ohio State played North Carolina a bunch of years ago. Maybe 1990? Anyway, Ohio State was gray, and North Carolina was light blue. On TV, it was confusing, because the uniforms looked so similar. And Purdue's football team's piss-yellow home uniforms is another example. You should be able to see a clear difference between the teams on TV.

...just my fourteen cents..

What if you made the letters/numbers scarlet and outline them in white?

I agree with much of what you said (especially re: Purdue's piss-yellow football jerseys, with white numbers no less - ugh!), but I have no problem with a school like OSU, for whom "gray" is actually a school color, having a gray alternate basketball uniform. Obviously, wearing them at home against a UNC (for whom light blue is a traditional road uni) is impractical, but breaking them out when the dark blue with maize trim Wolverines come to town is perfect (especially if they have scarlet letters/numbers)!
