Brigham Young 14, Oklahoma 13 (final)

I have a hard time faulting a kid who wanted one more year of playing football instead of entering the business world... particularly when that business turned in a record-breaking run of futility.

As long as this is not a long-term injury, it could be a blessing. If the injury hurts his draft stock, perhaps Bradford doesn't have to start prematurely, play behind a bad line and stunt his career growth.

Agreed about Mendenhall. I just gained a lot of respect for him.

I didn't have them ranked on my BP Poll ballot to start the season. I hadn't seen them play and couldn't recall them beating anyone of note before. They just shot way up there on my ballot for next week.

In my eyes, if Boise State runs the table and BYU drops a game somewhere along the way, BYU will still be more deserving of a BCS bid. They looked better by far. I'll likely have Boise State just outside my top 25 this week still.
Just a little FYI on BYU...

Brigham Young has been one of the most consistent non-BCS schools in recent years, with 12 wins over BCS opponents in the last decade (not counting a pair of wins over PAC-10 teams already this season[sup]1[/sup]). BYU has been ranked in the AP poll 15 times since 1977[sup]2[/sup] (which is more than many BCS schools), and they were consensus national champs in 1984.
Since 1998, BYU has a record of 15-19 against BCS teams, including 9-9 versus the Pac 10:

UCLA, 2-1
California, 2-1
Washington, 2-1
Notre Dame, 1-2
Arizona, 1-2
Virginia, 1-1
Syracuse, 1-1
Mississippi State, 1-1
Stanford, 0-2
Southern Cal, 0-2
Boston College, 0-2
Oregon, 1-0
Oklahoma, 1-0
Georgia Tech, 1-0
Arizona State, 1-0
Alabama, 0-1
Louisville, 0-1
Florida State, 0-1

[sup]1[/sup] Meaning the 2008 season. Of course, BYU has also beaten Oklahoma in the 2009 season, giving them 15 wins over BCS opponents since 1998.
[sup]2[/sup] BYU finished the 2008 season ranked 25th, marking their 16th appearance in the final AP poll since 1977.

I had a Grade 3 AC separation (left shoulder) back in late March, and it took me about eight weeks to even be able to lift my arm over my head, and about 12 weeks before it was near 100%. The first two weeks, I couldn't barely even lift my arm at all. Now, a Grade 3 involves the rupturing of of both AC and CC ligaments and displacement of the clavicle, while Grade 1 involves no ligament rupture and no clavicular displacement, and Grade 2 involves rupture of only the AC ligament and no clavicular displacement, so his recovery time may indeed be much much faster if it's only a Grade 1 or 2.

1. And to think that Stoops turned down the Ohio State job...

2. Why you take the NFL money when you can...

3. I don't see this team reaching anywhere near it's potential until week 7 or 8 by which time the season will be all but over.

4. How could 2 good teams make so many errors in one game?
