Brian "Body Kount" Kelly (HC Louisiana State)

gotta love kellys ways of recruiting. just like someone said on here before kelly is gonna be a pain in the butt for us in the coming years, he knows all the ohio high school coaches well in the cincinatti area.

NO SWEARING IN THE RECRUITING FORUM. Replacement characters (@, $) don't change the rule. ---jwins

What has he done to be a pain in the [butt]?

You'll see when/if he starts to sign the kids from Elder, St. X, Moeller, and the likes in Cincy area. Its a place that OSU hasn't really been tearing up the recruiting trail

So we'll see that he's a pain in the butt, when/if, he starts to sign kids from a place that we dont get/go after many recruits?

Kelly will be no more a pain in the butt than charlie the hutt was. If anything, it may be an upgrade for tOSU. One thing Charlie could do was recruit the midwest. Kelly's main recruiting bed is the cinci area, where tOSU has never really cleaned up anyway. Obviously, that will expand, but he doesn't have the nfl pedigree to sell blue chip kids that weis had.

For nd, I see it as a downgrade in recruiting, but an upgrade in coaching.

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly says school has talked about NBC on how to deal with fast offense

Published August 24, 2010
| Associated Press

coach Brian Kelly is bringing a no-huddle offense to the Irish this season and wants to make sure no one misses plays or slows down his hurry-up system. And that includes NBC.

Kelly says he's talked with network officials about the rapid pace of his offense vs. the network's need to air commercials. He wouldn't reveal specifics of those conversations Tuesday other than to say he expects the school and the network will find some middle ground. NBC has had a deal with Notre Dame since 1991.

So... umm... commercials should be timed to give ND an advantage?

I have no idea what this could even entail. I just know that at OSU games there is some douch standing out on the field with headphones and hat.....he then signals to refs that it is go time. I can't tell you how many times I have been waiting for that douche to signal "good to go" after a big turnover or big return.

It's the nature of the beast. Big time football = big time commercials.

Is Brian Kelly speed > SEC Speed?

Yeah, me neither. It's annoying when commercials break up the flow of a game, so whatever they can do to avoid that is good... so long as the planning doesn't favor one team or the other.

HAHA, everybody hates that guy. Especially when it's cold. I sometimes feel bad for him when the entire stadium is booing his ass and he can do nothing but stand there and wait for the guys upstairs to give him the go-ahead.
