Break the Attendence Record!!!!

Awesome idea, but why the F do they start the baseball DH at 1pm on Saturday? They did the same thing the last couple years. Make it a 4pm/7pm DH so you can go straight from LAX to football to baseball DH. Really poor planning.

I agree. Plus the 1:00pm Saturday Softball game agianst scUM, one the better softball programs in the nation, not just the Big Ten. The ladies could use the support of 1200 people in the stands for that matchup.

Alabama's record of 92,138 fans at their spring game last year is really impressive; however, I question it's validity. I question how they counted the fans; since admission was free. The stadium appeared to be full so it had to be at capacity, yeah right. I wonder how many "not so skinny" Alabama fans actually took up 3 or 4 seats.

Re: Admission was free.

and

The 92,138-seat stadium was full, and there were fans watching from the ramps also.

An overflow crowd watches Saban's Bama debut

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Nick Saban is already filling Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium -- and then some.
An overflow crowd of 92,138-plus fans attended the Crimson Tide's spring game Saturday, nearly doubling the school's A-Day attendance record and forcing university officials to start turning people away in the first half.
That kind of turnout for essentially a scrimmage was yet another indication of how much Saban's hiring in January has stirred up a rabid fan base hungry for a championship.
"It shows the passion that people have for the University of Alabama, and it certainly makes me feel great about being here as head coach," Saban said.
The previous high attendance for an Alabama A-Day game was 51,117 at Birmingham's Legion Field in 1988. Admission was free.

They reached that number by counting the empty Walmarts and Waffle Houses.
