Can you imagine OSU and Boise State swapping conferences?
Talk about a 20-year consecutive run of Conference Championships...

Hell, Ohio State has an active string of five in a row in the BIG TEN. Putting Ohio State in the WAC would be like a hot knife through butter.

Yep. I have Nebaska higher than most...and a large reason behind that is that the other candidates haven't been any more impressive.
+ 1
Never posted or explained my ballot.

1. Alabama2. Ohio State3. Oregon4. Nebraska5. Iowa6. Oklahoma 7. Texas8. Florida9. Stanford10. Wisconsin11. Boise State12. South Carolina13. TCU14. Miami15. Utah16. LSU17. Michigan State18. Auburn19. Penn State20. Arkansas21. Michigan22. Air Force23. California24. Texas A&M25. Arizona

So ESPN is picking some bad games for the marguee timespots. Iowa - Arizona, Wisconsin Arizona State, and Texas - Texas Tech are the best games of the weekend. How in the blue hell is Alabama @ Duke a marquee 3:30 game? The Iowa games is 10:30 and is probably the best match of the weekend. I can't say for sure that the UT game isn't attractive though because TT is still throwing and it's in Lubbock. I won't be too surprised with an upset. In fact I almost feel bad about where have UT and TT ranked now that I've thought about the 2 teams more. We'll see.

Gameday will be at the Auburn for the Clemson game. Those who predicted the SECSPN getting worse were right. Especially after being there for SEC the first 2 weeks.

I think Miami may be even better than I have them ranked but polls aren't just about which teams you think are better they're mostly about who's more deserving. South Carolina's wins are better. I expect Miami will be higher later, but who can really predict the ACC other than its going to lose or suck against real teams.

I heard Ivan Maisel say James Madison is a good team. Um, no they're not. I don't care about Hangover. You can't lose that game. Boise St's best oppenent can't lose that game. It's why you schedule more than 1 tough game even if you can't quite get the money you want.

My Big 10 Bias has 6! B10 teams in the rankings. Of course it helps that Big East/ACC get Miami and that's all. I think one Big East team will be ranked sooner or later. I just can't figure out which one.

Michigan State probably has to beat Notre Ame. And it probably should be by more than TSUN if they want to show that they will be any kind of factor.

I realize that a 4-0 hot start is exactly how the start went last year, but it's been pointed that this offense is the one DickRod wants to run as opposed to the Forcier led offense last year. Denard even in interviews is hard not to like which sucks. The first 2 oppenents though are definitely as quality as lower tier Big 10 teams. Indiana, Illinois, and Purdue now all look extrememly winnable and with MSU's Cousins not exactly looking sharp through 2 games MSU looks possible too. That's eight (8!) wins folks. Now that probably won't be good enough to be ranked in the very end. But it make make them 8-2 going into the Wisconsin game. All this assumes of course that Denard survives the MSU, Iowa, Penn State trifecta after going 5-0. It also assumes the Indian win which is no gimmie. All in all hopefully what this means is we get more seasons of DickRod! And Jim Harbaugh gets hired out at USC after Kiffin does something else stupid with a ridiculously high buyout.

Speaking of Stanford. How long does Harbaugh stick around? LSU and Georgia could be high profile job openings this year. UCLA? Miami? (I don't think Harbaugh would go there.) Say we get lucky and Rod keeps his job past this year. Harbaugh is hired by LSU. Would he pull a Kiffin and leave after one year? 2? How long would it take? The Harbaugh subject is an interesting one to me because he's the only possible TSUN hiring (I'm not counting Saban or Meyer because they're not leaving their teams to coach at TSUN ) that would put immediate fear of them gaining significant ground or even overtaking Ohio State. I'm not saying someone else couldn't ,but he's the only guy I see right now that I have confidence could do it.

It's a pretty lousy weekend from a national schedule standpoint. There are some other interesting matchups like Maryland-West Virginia, but that's not going to pull in an audience. Then again, while it doesn't look good on paper, sometimes college football will surprise you and produce a lot of drama on a day that didn't look promising at the start. We shall see.

Harbaugh would go over like a wet fart in the SEC. He'd be the anti-Lane Kiffin, and that would be just as bad from a cultural perspective. Harbaugh apparently has standards. Meanwhile the SEC kinda has an "honor among thieves" thing going on. Kiffin was such a rat he didn't even honor that. Harbaugh on the other hand would probably show up, try to convince everybody to run a clean program with little to no arrests, and, "Oh by they way the academics here suck balls for the most part." I think the only college job Harbaugh would leave Stanford for at this point might be his alma mater - if he hasn't burned too many bridges there.
