I've decided that Oklahoma State's defense is too questionable to have them rated ahead of Stanford at this time.
With Oklahoma's best receiver going down and Texas Tech getting smashed by Texas, I decided Oregon derves to be rated above them.
After a convincing win against South Carolina that could have been much more one-sided on the scoreboard, I moved Arkansas ahead of Boise. This is exactly what Boise gets for that weak schedule. Sorry smurfers!
It's amazing to me that the Coaching Poll has VaTech rated ahead of Clemson, given that the teams have the same record and Clemson thoroughly thrashed VaTech earlier this season. I'm glad to see BP be rational on that one.
I debated putting Georgia ahead of South Carolina given the loss of Latimore, but in the end I gave South Carolina the benefit of the doubt since they won the head-to-head earlier in the year. That may change in the coming weeks.
I don't know how the heck to rank the Big Ten teams at this point. If Penn State beats Nebraska next weekend, they will be tops in the league in my book. But until they beat a conference foe that means something, I still think Wisconsin is the best team in the league, with their two close loses on the road. After that, Michigan State and Nebraska have to be the next teams to be ranked, and since Nebraska smoked MSU, I gave them the edge. scUM clings to a top-25 spot, but tOSU is #26 for me right now. Iowa, with a couple more good wins, could get in there as well.
I don't want to have Houston ranked so high, but it's hard to justify putting many teams ahead of them at this point. There's a lot of mediocrity out there right now.
