Nebraska #2 over Oregon so far. I love the Nebraska defense and I think their offense suits their style, Oregon's offense is amazing, but their defense is not impressive. I also don't like how Oregon spots a team the 1st half, then gets started. Both teams have plenty of chances to prove/disprove this in the future so I am not concerned.

South Carolina trumps Alabama, 'Bama trumps Arkansas in the daisy chain. Auburn and LSU reign supreme in the SEC so far. The interesting part is that I just couldn't rank Arizona higher than Iowa so far, Iowa lost at Arizona a few weeks ago, but it was a tight one (much closer than the S. Carolina/Alabama game in comparison) and I just feel that Iowa is the better team. Again, both teams have chances to change the opinion, so its not a big deal currently.

Nevada and Air Force look great currently. I like them a lot. I still think NC State merits ranking, having only lost to Va Tech, and I am starting to look forward to the Missouri-Nebraska match. Missouri looks increasingly impressive.

Out of respect for being undefeated, I have ranked Oklahoma State. But I don't expect that ranking to last very long. I think they are probably the #4 team in the Big-12 South, possibly lower, but I feel like I have to respect going 5-0 so far...

I am generally not as impressed with Nebraska as many others seem to be, but of course I thought Kansas State might have been the worst 5-0 team of all-time too. Oregon State has played a bitch of a schedule thus far, so to me they deserve a not over 4-1 teams that have played the Blind Two-fingered Gnomes of the Yaya Sisterhood 4 times to this point. Same with Florida, though they don't impress me much in terms of top 25 material as it stands, though their demolition of Kentucky looks better now. It will be interesting to see how far the media wonks move Nevada up to try and make their game with Boise State look like Ben-Hur II. Oklahoma State and Missouri are good...are they going to play anybody this year? Very disappointed in Miami.

Nice to see Air Force having a good season, and though they shouldn't and won't be ranked, how about a shoutout to Army, who are off at 4-2 and could qualify for a bowl game this year.

I can't disagree much with your rankings of Nevada and Air Force, top-20 esque teams seems like a good area. Any reason you see Air Force not being ranked by season's end? Myself, I could see them beating Utah or TCU (though probably not both). Their defense plays within themselves, and the offense is just potent when running the ball. 10-2 with your losses to Oklahoma and (lets say) TCU is deserving of a top-25 status.

No I fully believe Air Force is a good team and will definitely be ranked...I was talking about Army not being ranked, maybe it sounded like I was talking about Air Force instead. I fully believe they can and should be ranked and will win 9 or 10 games.
