Surprised to see Kansas State still that high...I'm not sold on Texas yet, they'll be back in mine if they beat Tech this weekend.

The respect being given to Houston baffles me. Sure, they're undefeated and score a lot of points on bad defenses. But when your big OOC win is 38-34, at home, over UCLA I'm not very impressed. Nail biters over Louisiana Tech and UTEP only add to my skepticism.

I'm on the fence about Houston, but how did you rank a 2-loss Wisconsin team ahead of a 1-loss Michigan State team that beat Wisconsin in a head-to-head matchup?

Wisconsin

beat

Nebraska

beat

MSU

beat

Wisconsin

One of those teams (at least) is going to be "out of place" on your ballot no matter what. You have to decide which game was the aberration and vote accordingly.

EDIT:

Having said that; here's my poll:
  1. Alabama
  2. LSU
  3. Stanford
  4. Boise State
  5. Oregon
  6. Oklahoma State
  7. Oklahoma
  8. Arkansas
  9. Nebraska
  10. Penn State
  11. Clemson
  12. Michigan State
  13. Wisconsin
  14. South Carolina
  15. Virginia Tech
  16. Arizona State
  17. Texas
  18. Georgia
  19. Michigan
  20. Kansas State
  21. Houston
  22. Texas A&M
  23. Ohio State
  24. Auburn
  25. Washington
I have Nebraska higher than the other two, even though Wiscy crushed Corn. That wasn't so much an aberration as it is history. I think Nebraska has improved, Wiscy not so much.

My poll is influenced by DSA, and so looks drastically different from a lot of others.

Wisconsin's losses were both on the road on what amounted to desperation heaves at the end of the game versus two teams that have Top 15 talent on their rosters. Don't know that there is much precedent to say where it's appropriate to rank Wisconsin.

I still think they're in the 11-20 range and won't lose a game the rest of the year until they shit the bed in their bowl game. That's not a Top 10 caliber defense though.

There's also the fact that Michigan State isn't a 1-loss team. In other words, I'm an idiot.
