JoePa apologists = Pendejo

I also recall Boise beating Oklahoma. That is now so long ago that the players responsible are nowhere to be found on the current roster, but it does speak to the continued success of Boise as a program. I continue to believe that, due to the week-in and week-out gruel of a BCS (less the Big East) slate, Boise would not be rolling off 0 and 1 loss seasons if they played in a BCS conference. That said, I think at this point Boise has proven they can play with most teams in a given season. I think they'd still get lit up by an LSU or Alabama this year, but then, so would most other teams. I'd say that, this year, they are right there in that 5-15 range in terms of national ranking.
I actually think Boise's big-game resume is probably better than Oregon's over the past several years. You can point to Stanford last year, and that was a great win, but I wouldn't say they dominated Stanford. In fact, Stanford was clobbering them before Oregon launched a big-time comeback that clearly demoralized the Cardinal. Other than that, my impression is that Oregon mostly has a bunch of performances in marquee games (mostly bowl games) in which they wet the bed. I'm speaking purely from my memory, here. I'd have to actually go back through the years to ensure that I'm being entirely fair.
