BP Poll - Preseason

Yeah, I ran into that too. Most of 15-25 either lost or just looked bad. I don't want to move teams up just for winning ugly games, but the only other option to jump previously unranked teams over them. I like my solution best, though: just find any SEC teams I hadn't already ranked and put them in alphabetical order at the bottom of my 25. No one can complain, because SEC SEC SEC!

Just out of curiosity, why would someone have Tennessee ranked in the preseason?

They're ranked #18 in AP and Coaches' preseason poll.

We're ranking teams in the BP poll because the AP and Coaches do? Well, looking at the poll it's apparent some did but I don't see that as much of a reason.

I know I suffer from regional biases, but I honestly didn't see Tennecheat as a top 25 team (even before the loss - I didn't rank them or Alabama in my preseason ballot). I still don't think either is top 25 caliber, but in lieu of any other contenders Alabama cracks my top 25.
