I'm still a BN $ member...
I enjoy reading Dave Biddle, Bill Greene, and Duane Long. Also, although many have had issues with Steve H, his work and effort is undeniable.
I think the place would be much improved with more moderation...DaHawg, JCOSU, and OTC cannot possibly handle that traffic alone.
We have half the members and twice the mods...

One pretty cool thing I've seen is the way we've bridged the gap with O-State.com and now HornFans (somewhat, and that will probably increase as the game draws near)...
There are things that BN can provide at times that are very useful, but having seen it first hand, I'm not a big fan of a site that thrives on thrusting recorders in recruits' faces all the time. I think this site will take off even further once the new server is up which will lead to the stats engine, more video clips, some graphic ideas, etc.

I think this was a big part of some of the move over here and if I remember right it wasn't long before that they had a server crash that introduced allot of people to being over here to begin with. Then when they started taking a arrogant attitude with allot of people it really turned some people offThump said:

That's when I came over. For pure football discussion, I still post on BN$, but here I hang out on the other boards as much as football. BN is not a community, because a community adapts to the idiosyncracies of its members and accepts them. BN is scared shitless someone will get offended and drop their membership. I have a friend who works for BN, and she is not complementary of the staff/attitude at the place.Thump said:

I think the retard room shut down was probably the biggest factor, but there were a lot of people that were tiring of BN long before that. Hard to fathom the impact of Turd Furgeson on that place, and here. If it were not for him turning the Retard room into a free for all, it would have probably taken a lot of posters (myself included) a lot longer to find this place.
For me it was just the way they went about doing business. All of a sudden Duane cannot post on the free board due to some bullshit technical issue, but he is able to post all day on the premium board. Just seemed like a lot of hypocritical bullshit going on over there. I am still a member there, but I probably have not been over there in almost a year.
