We have 9 people but no one wants to vote on a site. Best, I am a Pokerstars guy, but I will travel to whereever it is necessary to go to to have a tourney....
OK if no one wants to vote then pick one. First contact 3 or 4 and see what they can do for us. See my thread above for the email addy for full tilt. Keep this thread bumped up so we can get more people. Ask them all the best day and or time for everyone. also get an idea from them all how much they would be willing to donate to play then set an amount.
Finalize the site , the date and time and amount and get people registered.
If we are to send on the amounts to BP set that up thru Deety or Longshore(?) for paypal. They will have to pay to be registered.
I am sure we can pick up more players. wether or not I play or not will be decided by my participation in the poker tourn in Cols.

Don't know why I didn't catch this thread earlier. So thanks Deety for reopening the poll so I can vote

I am a Full Tilt and Poker.com guy. Of the ones you listed Sparky most of them don't accept U.S. players anymore. As Doyle's Room closed down and was transfered to Full Tilt; Pokerroom and Pacific both shut down to US players and Ultimate Bet just sucks.

Really the only good online pokerrooms left online are Pokerstars, Full Tilt, Absolute and Poker.com. And since Pokerstars and Full Tilt are the biggest and best. Those 2 should be the focus on the event. Then it will come down to what those pokersites can do for us.

What I need you guys to understand, is that it's going to be a blessing for all of you to just play this thing somewhere out of my reach. :wink2: I am known for being a bastard, and taking all of my friends money when I can actually see if they wanna call that pair of Queens, or if they wanna bluff me. I gracefully bow out of the on-line deal. :)

Finally heard back from Pokerstars, no Dice. You have to hold real money tourneys where Pokerstars is allowed to take some of the entry fee. Also You have to be a platinum member and I dont spend $50,000 a year that it takes to be platinum.

So Best, what about PartyPoker? I dont have a log on anymore there and someone who plays regularly should probably ask...

I seriously doubt that any of the online real money sites are going to handle something (small time) like this.

My suggestion would be to go to Yahoo games. They have private leagues, that I believe are free. I assume that everyone here would be forwarding the proceeds to BP anyway, so the buy-in could be a prepaid contribution to BP. $40 (or whatever number is decided) buys your way in to a tourney. This might also be way to setup a BP league, that would happen more than once per year, and wouldn't necessarily have to go to BP.

Nice idea... I'd rather play at Yahoo than sign up at one of the other sites, and the simpler the setup the better.
