BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2024, Current Champion = MD Buckeye again)

When the final sad history is written let it be noted that the magnificent career of Mike Trout was officially ended on the day he was traded to my fantasy team.

His was not the first career I killed but it will be the best one by far.

Sorry kid.

Trumbo has doubled his season HR total this week, with an OBP of .389. :pimp:

I have a feeling Trout will rebound, despite your efforts to destroy him.

Trumbo was starting to come to life when I traded him so that isn't completely unexpected.

Luckily for me it looks like CarGo has come to understand the 2017 season is officially underway and that he is paid to smash baseballs.

Now, if that malingering bitch made punk Donaldson would take some Midol and get off the DL I might have a pretty decent offense by playoff time.

Appreciate it. In my quest to upgrade my hitting, I overlooked the fact that the combo of my two trades was going to leave me with punching judy Peraza as my only second base option.

If you've got guys stashed under NA or DL (who are now active) I'm pretty sure your trade won't process. I know you can't add a FA in that situation.

Not sure why the trade between @Bucklion and myself didn't process for today though. It looks like the waiver process took place three hours later today for some reason. Even at that, our traded players still aren't on our rosters until tomorrow. So I was going to use the free space from the first trade (from the two for one) to use for Kelley coming off the DL. Happ unexpected got called up today(yahoo says only for a couple of days). Are you saying I have to drop two additional players for the second trade to go through even though both trades took place well before either of my players were activated? If that is the case then once the commish approves the trade, I would be in favor for the trade to be automatically processed. I believe ESPN has that feature, I don't know if yahoo does or not. With the way real MLB teams make transactions now, it can be difficult to manage the DL and NA spots when waiting extra days for a trade to process.

The setting is such that a trade agreed to on Wednesday would process Thursday night (technically Friday morning) and the players would be available on Saturday. That's how I've seen them go through. Remind me who you and @Bucklion traded, and when, and I'll review it. I believe it processed last night, since I remember seeing two pending trades yesterday. That would make the guys on your roster tomorrow. If it didn't go through I think I can move the players, but we've had so many trades lately I don't recall who was in that trade. Let me know. I'll investigate and fix it if needed.

As for guys on the DL or NA, I don't think trades will go through if they're now active. It's happened to me before. I could push it through right now but I'm 99% sure it won't work because of those now active players. Worst case you guys do the trade again after the space in your roster is there, but the Cubs surprise call up seems to have thrown a monkey wrench in your current plans.

Well whaddaya know, trades will go through even with active guys on the DL/NA spots. Good luck trying to pick up a FA that way, though.

I think everything is good now. Let me know if it's not.

Thank you kind sir! You are right, I would not be able to make any additional moves if I leave Happ in the NA slot, however, the lineup is good! You have just earned you salary for being commissioner tonight!:drunks:
