He had a 1.97 ERA and decided to completely skip the 2s and up it to fucking 3.11. Anytime you are halfway through the season and can skip a whole number in ERA in one outing, you’re doing something.

I’m benching both pitchers today and conceding wins to you. I can’t catch you in QS and I would need 2 wins and 0 from you to earn a tie there. I’d rather not risk ERA and WHIP and let you keep wins. My pitchers might both need to totally flame out today to lose ERA and WHIP but I just don’t feel like figuring out the possibility and how bad they’d have to do for that to happen. With 118 IP already, your guy could probably throw a complete game shutout and it lowers ERA to 3.89 so I’ll just leave mine where it’s at.

I think this weeks no show knocks me out of that last playoff spot (given the magnitude of the rogering they took).
Oh well, fall camp opens Friday. It kept me amused from late March until the start of football season. Mission accomplished.
