What's the new bowl in Washington, DC? Gets my vote. I travel over 6000 miles a year to see the Buckeyes play. This year they can come to me for the bowl game.

- Ohio State beats Penn State, Michigan
- Wisconsin loses to Illinois, beats Penn State
- Penn State loses both games
?

Stewart Mandel of SI addresses this today in his mailbag as one of the things Big Ten fans may have to adjust to, and coming from the Big XII I agree with him. Making it to the league championship game and losing typically hurts with bowl prospects. Bowls don't like picking a team coming off of a loss. If Nebraska wins out or to an extent 1-1 in their last two games, they likely get ahead picked ahead of Michigan State.BrutusBobcat;2035632; said:Based on how the teams in the B1G currently look, here's my IMO on who'd go where:
Rose Bowl- Wisky
Capital One Bowl- MSU
Outback Bowl- UNL

If there is a bowl ban, a one-year bowl ban this year would be the best case scenario....
Edit: I don't mind an Oregon or Stanford match up... at all. I think we have more talent than either team, which gives us a shot. We could easily lose, too, but I think it would be a great thing to get to the Rose Bowl again... 7th B1G ch'p in a row would be worth the trip...
Edit, Edit... just realized that Bama in the SEC's 2nd BCS is much more likely than in the Capital One... so we get Auburn or South Carolina in the Capital One? Don't hate that either, I guess... (Assuming LSU wins the SECCG)

The three bowls we are probably looking at, should be some combination of OSU, PSU,scUM or Iowa:
Gator Bowl- If OSU wins out, OSU
Insight bowl- If OSU is 1-1, OSU
Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas- If OSU loses out, OSU
- or -
Ticket City Bowl
Little Ceasars Pizza Bowl- Illinois
Yeah if it sets up that way that OU isn't in a position to play in the title game and Nebraska wins out (I'll believe it when I see it) the Fiesta will in all likelihood pass on Stanford. That of course as you mentioned bumps everyone else up a spot on the bowl order.Piney;2037912; said:AND as long as Nebraska wins out, would probably be the best bet to be the 2nd BCS invite from the B1G if we get a 2nd team. I am sure the Fiesta Bowl would LOVE to put Oklahoma v Nebraska together. And I can easily see them pass on Stanford.
