Remember when there was that running list of all the teams that won a Bowl game since the last time ND did? I want to get one of those going again for a long time.

Domers famously blew a 24-0 lead to USC and Anthony Davis in 1974. Ended up 55-24, and was glorious.

I remember that game! I knew it was 24-6 at halftime but didn't know if ND ever led by 21.

SC returned the second half kickoff for a TD and rolled from there.

USC scored just before halftime, and then AD ran back the second half kickoff and they never looked back.

Valid point. Buckeyes will almost always get the benefit of the doubt - ‘cause blue-blood. But if you have a conference loss and an SEC team has one conference loss, conference rep might make a difference.

I often read y’all bitching about the constant b.s. SEC over-ranking, and at the same time read about your insistence that your conference mate’s rep is inconsequential to you.

This seems disconnected somehow, given the fact that I agree the SEC gets loads of false rep. The cure for that is not 2 new year’s day losses to SEC SEC SEC - a day after 1 SEC non-conference champ skull raped the B1G Conf Champ. Could be wrong.

I might agree if I thought for one second ESPN would change the narrative to fit on field results.
