Boston College 28, Miami 14 (final)

I'd just like to register my complete dismay that the voice of Pam Ward airs on ESPN during college football games.

Now, you should also recognize that Pam actually appears to know more than some other announcers, Lundquist on CBS to name just one. The cause of my disappointment is purely her voice, which simply sounds too thin and airy for my liking. Plus, she has a style of sounding disconnected from the action - not a virtue when commentating on football in my view. Better suited to tennis, or perhaps golf, where getting buried in the background of the crowd noise is less likely.

Agreed... How about that sideline reporter, what's up with him?:pirate1:

Just before the half, Miami stopped a B.C. drive with a pick at the 12-yard line. With less than a minute to go and 2 timeouts, they decide to throw deep. B.C. picks it and gets a TD just before the half, and now Miami is down 14, rather than 7.

Dumb, Randy Shannon, dumb.

Couldn't agree more. Of all the games on right now the BC/Miami matchup is the one I want to watch most but I have to turn the sound down. She wouldn't have an animated bone in her body if Mickey Mou...nevermind.
