The game wouldn't have gone into overtime if Nevada could have made their foul shots at end of regulation.

Have two teams ever broken 65 in a single game before? Is 67 points a record for a losing team?

i thought i remembered Hawaii and BYU do it about five years ago... but i was wrong... it was 2001, and the Warrior won 75-45.
pretty amazing game... there was a seven OT SEC tilt a few years back in which regulation ended in a 17-all tie, only to explode the scoreboard... nope. looked it up, Arkansas beat Mississippi 58-56 in that tilt...
we may have seen a record, though certainly not for the highest point total ever... that distinction goes to Georgia Tech who dismantled lowly Cumberland 222-0 back in 1916... they beat Furman 118-0, the 11th Cavalry 123-0, and NC State 128-0 a couple years after that. 1918 season totals: Georgia Tech 466. all other opponents 32... and all 32 of those points were given to Pittsburgh, which defeated the Rambling Wreck 32-0...
but i digress...
