OK, there are no 10,000 to 1 odds here, but it could be interesting.

Note - the pre-snap penalty would include a false start and an illegal substitution, but not a post-snap penalty that the defense accepts or declines, like illegal procedure or or an illegal formation.

If they flank Boeckman out and have Pryor at QB, everyone will be expecting Boeckman to step back and have Pryor lateral-throw him the ball and for Pryor to go out on a pass pattern...so instead they should just send Boeckman downfield at the snap as a WR (at 6'5", he'd be a good target). No one would expect that and who would cover Boeckman if he did indeed go downfield as a receiver? I think he'd be wide open...

Tressel got this whole idea from John Reed he's the coach of Coldwater. The play will be the same as we used against Mooney in the 07 championship. Watch the clip from the 1:05 mark.

Is it just me or does it seem like the jump ball to Pryor in the endzone would be a good play to keep in the playbook? Spend some time working on that throw with JB to Pryor. Pryor is so big, strong, and athletic that any < 6 foot CB has no chance.

Maybe I am putting way too much stock into the UA All America game, but I'd really rather see that play executed with TP at QB and Marlon Brown on the receiving end in the end zone. If we had had Marlon Brown for the Fiesta Bowl, Pryor wouldn't have been needed to play WR.

Agreed, Stock up now! What a dream of having Brown and Carter as receivers with TP, or;
TP, MB and DC on the receiving end from QB, JB or TB!
